Cricket : England beat West Indies in 2nd test At Old Traffrod levels series 1-1

After a shocking loss at first test match at Rose bowl Southampton the England cricket team bounced back in the test series by winning the 2nd test match at Old Trafford Manchester by 113 runs.

The victory came out of nowhere as until tea day four the match was heading towards a draw, the third day was also washed out due to rain, But thanks to some classic bowling performance by Stuart Broad the complete turnaround happened in the match in favor of England. Had the test match would have been drawn the chances of England team winning the test series would have been out of place and the best result for the series England could produce would have been of series draw in case England could have won the 3rd test to be played at the same venue Old Trafford.

But now with the famous England win in the 2nd test would mean that the series could go either way. Which has also created the excitement for the 3rd and final Test match

The Win came under the regular English cricket team side captain Joe root who came back and joining the team in the 2nd test at Manchester after missing out the first test due to personal reasons.

And the reliable batsman did deliver and made the side won. He was consistent in speaking to all his bowlers at the ground creating strategy which ultimately created wicket taking chances.

The young fast bowler Sam Curran also put a very good bowling performance

English team made as many as 4 changes for the 2nd test out of one was the forced changed due to the incident of Jofra Archer who had to go to 5 day isolation breaking bio security protocol of the team

English team right from the word go looked in control and posted a commendable total of 469 runs from the loss of 9 wickets

English opener Sibley played traditional test match innings and made a solid century he made 120 runs and Ben stokes the all rounder bated at number 5 and made highest runs for the team as he played fine Innings of 176 runs in the first innings.

Joe root thought 469 is enough and didn’t wait to fall of 10th wicket and declared the innings when England was at 469 for 9 wickets.

Even after the wash out of day 3 England successfully bowled out west indies twice and registered the win of 113 runs in the test which tells how good test cricket is even in the T-20 era.
